Haul-ins and long-term welcome! Stay ahead of the game all winter long at Tahoe Equine.
Sharpen your competitive edge with year-round, low-impact, full body conditioning for the equine athlete of any discipline. Our facility is indoor, meaning haul-ins can access our in-ground AquaTread, and salt water spa no matter the weather. Currently our 8-horse Eurocizer is weather permitting.
We offer full care boarding in spacious, indoor, heated stalls for our conditioning customers. Multiple packages and services are available, you can also call us to customize your own!
Why should I condition my horse?
Having your horse in great shape before starting heavy training can prevent injuries by strengthening tendons, ligaments, and joints. You can also get a competitive edge by keeping your horse in show-shape throughout the off season! In a wintery area like Lake Tahoe, you’ll be able to get a jump on the sport you love by keeping your horse fit and healthy all winter, meaning you’re ready to dive back into the sport you love come spring.
Prior conditioning can help you get your money’s worth when you’re sending colts off to be started. It can also help your stallion through his busy breeding season or keep your broodmares healthy through their pregnancies.
What equipment is available?
Our 8-horse Eurociser: The Euro style of exerciser is a safer, more modern, version of the hot walker. This means your horse will be free in his own compartment. The advanced control mechanism offers warm up and cool down periods, direction changes, and speeds ranging from a walk to a lope.
In-ground AquaTread: The HydroHorse Aqua Treadmill is a combination swimming pool, whirlpool, and treadmill. Your horse is lead into the pool and onto the treadmill, where his feet maintain contact with the bottom. This allows him to stay in his normal gaits while partially supported by the water. It’s an outstanding low-impact way to strengthen the entire body!

Salt Water Spa: Soothe sore, tired muscles with cold saltwater and a massaging whirlpool effect!
Laser and Shockwave: Sometimes inflammation isn’t visible and doesn’t cause lameness. Keep your horse’s cellular metabolism stimulated to promote healing and balance throughout the stressful show season.
