Performance horse rehabilitation and conditioning with direct, hands on veterinary oversight

About Tahoe Equine

Tahoe Equine is a brand new, state of the art facility dedicated to the rehabilitation and conditioning of performance horses of all disciplines. We’re committed to compassionate, hands-on care with veterinary oversight top professionals.

Rehabilitation

Our equipment is top of the line and carefully selected to return the horse to the pre-existing level of optimal performance prior to the injury. This can be achieved by restoring soft tissue flexibility, muscular strength, and fuctional mobility. We welcome veterinary referrals and haul-ins alike.

Conditioning

Proper conditioning is the best way to prevent injuries and promote optimal performance. Living in our mountain climate, performance horses can be at a disadvantage by being stall-bound throughout the winter. Tahoe Equine welcomes haul-ins to keep your show horse in top shape year-round.

Maguire Price

Manager of Tahoe Equine

Driven by my passion for horses and my experience with my own horse’s health has led me here.  After my mare experienced a severe battle with strangles and a suspensory injury, our road to recovery was dramatically accelerated and improved due to the tools at Tahoe Equine Rehab Center.

They successfully maintained a level of conditioning while also rehabbing an injury that could have potentially taken us out of the competition ring for twice as long.  Since that experience, a passion has followed for helping other horses have the access and success that I saw with my mare.

With my role as the facility manager,  my goal is to find and pursue ways that I can expand and increase awareness around proper conditioning and successful rehabilitation of our clients’ horses. This has become my priority.  I am able to achieve this with my many years of experience in rodeo, 3 day eventing, general horse care and upper level competition. This brings me to the relationship we must have with our veterinarians, we can’t do what we do well without you.   Establishing well rounded team efforts for the well-being and health of our equine patients will insure sounder, happier horses, quicker recoveries and owners with peace of mind knowing that they have the best level of support behind them and their equine companions/ athletes!

I look forward to working with you and thank you for your consideration!
